- Details about Taylor Swift’s wedding dress just dropped and a source is spilling!
- Taylor’s gown is reportedly inspired by the dress Elizabeth Taylor wore to marry Conrad Hilton in 1950.
- Taylor loves the old-fashioned silhouette and lace details.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are mere weeks away from walking down the aisle and making it official (in New York City…on July 3…allegedly!) and reports are starting to emerge about Taylor’s wedding dress.
Take all of this with a grain of salt since only Taylor, her stylist, and her designer truly know what she’s wearing, but the Daily Mail spoke to a source who said she’s been heavily inspired by none other than Elizabeth Taylor. Specifically, the wedding gown she wore to marry Conrad Hilton in 1950.
“Taylor spent so much time looking at old photos of Elizabeth Taylor when she was making her music video for that song that she became enamored with the movie queen's style,” a source tells the outlet. “So when she started thinking about her wedding dress, she looked up Elizabeth's old gowns online.”
Here’s another look at the dress in color, which shows off the beautiful ivory color and embroidered details on the full skirt. According to the source, “Taylor said she liked how it was old fashioned and came in at the waistline, plus the lace detailing.”
No word yet on who’s designing Taylor’s dress, but the Daily Mail’s source says it’s not Oscar de la Renta. As for jewelry, the insider adds, “She loves Elizabeth's jewels so she may just wear one of her pieces, something on the smaller side for when she walks down the aisle, but she would need to ask Taylor's estate.”
Taylor has obviously been in touch with the estate given her song “Elizabeth Taylor,” which has a music video featuring clips of the Hollywood icon throughout her career!
